HOW WILL I LOOK AFTER MY COSMETIC TATTOO?
Answer - Your tattoo will look much darker after your treatment & for the first 2 weeks whilst the healing process takes place. Your colour will soften by 4 weeks, at which point it is time for your second appointment.
Some redness and swelling is to be expected. As the area heals it can also shrink slightly as the skin constricts during wound healing. During healing some areas in the skin may reject pigment, irregularity is to be expected
and will be perfected in appointment two.
WHAT SHOULD I BE AWARE OF BEFORE HAVING A COSMETIC TATTOO?
Answer - Discontinue the use of aspirin, fish oils or any other blood thinners as these can cause extra bleeding & will interfere with depositing the pigment. Alcohol should be avoided for 4 days prior to your appointment.
The area should be clean from makeup & creams.
WHY IS COSMETIC TATTOO DONE OVER TWO APPOINTMENTS?
Answer - Whist the second appointment is more a touch up, it is completed in order to achieve the best possible outcome. Due to the depth of penetration and placement of pigments, the tattoo must be perfected over
two visits; it is much lighter than a body tattoo and we do not work as deep.
Furthermore, pigment is placed in areas that are subjected to most wear & tear, exfoliation, sun exposure, facial products, exercise, makeup & much more. All of these elements can cause the newly implanted colour to fade. You
may also want to adjust your tattoo after wearing it for a few weeks, perhaps go darker or lighter.
A perfection visit allows us to complete the design, reassess the infused colour, and make any adjustments after the pigment has healed in the individual’s skin, this varies for everyone.

IF YOU ARE PREGNANT OR BREASTFEEDING?
Answer - No procedures will be carried out on clients who are pregnant or breast feeding. During this time your body & baby is more prone to blood born infections & whilst every care is taken it is not advised that
the treatment takes place.
HOW SAFE IS COSMETIC TATTOOING?
Answer - In Queensland there are infection control practices, sterilization guidelines, local council regulations, and permits that must be held in order to regulate the industry. There has been very few pigment
reactions reported over the years which means that whilst a sensitivity test is not necessary, if the client has been known to suffer from allergic reactions in the past a test may performed and the client will wait 48
hours before any further treatment.
With health standards in place, the possibility that you would have serious medical problem as a result of semi-permanent cosmetic procedure is remote. You have a role to play in your own safety. You must comply with the post-procedural
instructions to help reduce any associated risks from contaminations of the newly pigmented area.
HOW LONG WILL MY TATTOO LAST?
Answer - The predominant reason for colour fading in a semi-permanent cosmetic tattoo is the decomposition of pigments due to sun exposure. However, health conditions, medications, and facial products containing
strong exfoliation and skin bleaching agents all can contribute to the need for maintenance. Precautions need to be taken with new treatments such as Intense Pulsed Light (IPL), and some laser based treatments so as not
to affect your permanent cosmetic colour will need refreshing each year or so. For clients that rebook their colour boost in the first 12 months will recieve 50% off the price.
